Featured Projects
These projects reflect the kind of work I care about most: building communities of belonging, supporting students and colleagues well, and helping complex organizations function with clarity, care, and intention.
Building a LaFe Chapter at Emory (2021-2022)
Program Development, Grant Funding, & Student Community Building
During my time as a Program Director at Emory University, I developed an “Alternative Planting Strategy” proposal to establish a new LaFe (Latine Fellowship) chapter to support student leadership and community development. The strategy was grounded in cultural awareness and intentionally built on the strengths of Latine student communities, including the relational foundation of familia, to create a sustainable model for engagement and leadership development.
The project involved proposal writing, strategic planning, fundraising, and stakeholder coordination. I secured a $10,000 Underserved Institutions Discovery Project grant and used it to launch the program over three semesters. My focus was creating a sustainable community where students felt supported and able to grow into leadership roles. The fellowship grew to approximately 20 students and established a replicable model for future expansion within InterVarsity.

COVID-Era Transition to Virtual Student Programming
Systems Redesign, Remote Operations, & Student Support (2020–2021)
When COVID-19 disrupted campus operations, our undergraduate programs at Emory shifted rapidly to remote engagement. I helped coordinate this transition by redesigning workflows, communication systems, and student leadership structures. Based on surveys and interviews I conducted with Emory students and ministry supporters about their needs and experiences of COVID isolation, I created a special online event (via YouTube Live) with compiled music & arts performances and a student/donor joint Zoom call to build a sense of community, togetherness, and belonging. Due to its broad success, the broader Georgia InterVarsity team replicated my program for all of Georgia IV the following year.
Beyond logistics, the work focused on helping students stay supported and connected during a period of significant uncertainty. It reinforced the importance of steady, responsive administrative systems during institutional disruption.

Research Recruitment Redesign at VCU (2023)
Outreach Strategy, Accessibility, & Research Operations
As a Research Assistant in the Department of Psychology at VCU, I supported participant recruitment, scheduling, data collection, and IRB processes for a human-subjects research study.
In addition to my main duties, I led a redesign of recruitment materials for the Center for the Study of Tobacco Products, improving clarity, accessibility, and engagement through revised messaging and visuals. This contributed to a 250% increase in study recruitment and strengthened my interest in the intersection of communication, research operations, and systems improvement.

Alternative Lawnparties (2015)
Rapid Event Coordination & Responsive Student Programming
During my junior year at Princeton, I (and a few friends) worked with the Office of the Dean of Undergraduate Students to help organize an alternative Lawnparties event in response to a student controversy surrounding that semester’s headliner. The goal was to create an additional campus event space where more students could participate comfortably. We planned and executed the event in about five days, coordinating funding, a live band, and food service at Campus Club.
Hundreds of students attended, and the event received strong support from University leadership. The experience demonstrated how responsive programming can strengthen trust and belonging during moments of campus tension.

Residential Community Building (2013-2015)
Student Engagement & Residential Life Programming
As a Dormitory Assistant at Princeton, I helped organized numerous study breaks designed to strengthen community within my assigned residence hall. For example: in fall 2015, we hosted a pumpkin painting event with cider donuts from Terhune Orchards, creating an informal space for students to connect with one another and with residential support staff.
The event was intentionally designed to lower social barriers within the dorm and encourage students to feel more comfortable engaging with residential support systems throughout the year. It reflects my approach to residential life work: small, intentional efforts that build trust and belonging over time.

Caroline Community Theatre Website & Production Support (2024–2025)
Collaborative Operations, Factotum Work, & Community-Focused Execution
After initially volunteering to support Caroline Community Theatre’s production of Into the Woods, I became involved across multiple areas of production and organizational operations: I served as Music Director while also supporting set construction, ticketing logistics, marketing coordination, and production communications as needs emerged throughout the production process. I also contributed to production branding, including redesigning the show t-shirt.
In parallel, I redesigned and maintained the organization’s website, including site migration to WordPress, domain configuration, SSL implementation, and CSS customization of a ticketing plugin. Across my work with CCT, I supported multiple functional areas as needed, learning quickly and focusing on resolving practical issues to keep the production and organization moving effectively.
